As our home birth client, your package includes:
Some mothers need to birth in a hospital setting, but don't want to miss out on midwifery care. For these mothers, collaborative care meets both needs. Our clients can have midwifery care throughout their pregnancies and a planned hospital birth with their midwife there for support, followed by comprehensive postpartum/newborn care and breastfeeding support.
We will do our best to work with your hospital based provider to coordinate prenatal visit schedules and information to ensure you receive excellent continuity of care.
We enjoy supporting families who may need to birth in a hospital setting or have chosen the hospital as their birth place and desire a natural birth. When you hire us as your doula, you benefit from our experience and training as both doulas and midwives. Our midwifery training informs the suggestions we give, whether it's fetal positioning, maternal comfort, or helping labor progress. We are also able to provide you with information on tests and procedures during both pregnancy and labor.
We have attended births at Lebanon Community Hospital, Albany Samaritan General Hospital, Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, Salem Hospital, Sacred Heart Medical Center, McKenzie Willamette Medical Center, Santiam Hospital in Stayton and Silverton Hospital. We are happy to support you at any area hospital.
Our birth doula service package includes:
As your Postpartum Doula, we do whatever you need so that you are able to best enjoy and care for your new baby. Our role changes from day to day, as the needs of your family change. We offer both daytime and nighttime support with infant care, emotional and informational support, babywearing education, breastfeeding support, sibling care, light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, home organization, errand runs and safety education. Our goal is to promote your bonding with your new baby while helping to create a sense of balance during the new family's recovery.

Placenta encapsulation is a process where your placenta is dehydrated, ground into powder and put into capsules for you to take during the postpartum period. Many women report improvements in mood, feeling calmer and more centered, increased milk supply, and boosted energy levels.
We offer placenta encapsulation services to moms all over the MidValley, including Albany, Corvallis, Lebanon, Sweet Home, Scio, Salem, and the surrounding areas.
We charge $200 for placenta encapsulation, with a $50 discount for birth clients. This includes your placenta capsules, dosing instructions, a placenta print and cord keepsake. There is an additional charge for pickup more than 35 miles away.
If you're interested in placenta encapsulation you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out the contact form. We will contact you to make arrangements to pick up your placenta once you've given birth.
We are well qualified to help with a variety of breastfeeding issues. During your visit we will collect a detailed health history, discuss your birth and any factors that may have impacted your breastfeeding relationship, discuss your concerns, do a thorough evaluation of baby and observe a nursing session, offering tips and support. Follow up visits are scheduled as needed, and we are available between visits for text and phone support.
Tongue and lip ties can have a serious impact on the breastfeeding relationship, but are often undiagnosed. It is essential to have a lactation consultant who is skilled at diagnosing ties and can provide you with a referral to someone able to fully release any oral restrictions. We have experience and training in diagnosing ties and are able to provide timely referrals to area providers with training to release both tongue and lip ties.
